The River Basin Control Office (RBCO) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources holds the World Water Day 2023 Exhibit featuring programs and projects of its partner agencies on water security and sustainability. Photo shows GIZ Regional Program Coordinator of Fit-for-School Dr. Juan Leonardia describing the low-flow handwashing device developed by the RBCO/GIZ Ecosystem-based Adaptation in 2 River Basins (E2RB) Project to raise awareness among public elementary school children on the use of water for hygiene. The device uses less water compared to faucets thus helps conserve water. The exhibit was opened by DENR Undersecretary for Integrated Environmental Science Carlos Primo David. It is currently ongoing at the Bulwagang Ninoy, Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center in Quezon City. Other exhibitors are National Water Resources Board, Local Water Utilities Administration, Philippine Water Works Association, Inc., Manila Water and Maynilad.
