Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Acting Secretary Jim O. Sampulna (seated, center) convenes the DENR Region 4B Mindoro-Marinduque-Romblon-Palawan (MIMAROPA) provincial and community environment and natural resources officers to discuss administrative and environmental concerns in the region needing immediate attention. The top issues raised by the regional officials include land survey and processing of titles, housing project for victims of typhoon Yolanda, intensified forest protection, easement rules, and the implementation of environmental laws. Sampulna met with the officials during the celebration of World Water Day on April 2 in El Nido, Palawan. He was joined by Undersecretary for Field Operations- Luzon, Visayas and Environment Atty.
