A team of divers from the Masbate Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office, Mobo Community Environment and Natural Resources Office, and Masbate Gold Project (MGP), removes barnacles (inset) and transplants some coral fragments on the installed reef balls in Colorada Marine Protected Area (CMPA) in Aroroy, Masbate. The marine rehabilitation activity took place on October 13, 2020. Reef balls are marine-friendly structures that are installed on marine floors to provide shelter and serve as breeding grounds of reef fishes that thrive in the marine protected area. In 2018, as part of the MGP’s environmental program in the province, around 400-800 reef balls were installed within the CMPA. #
