Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Antonia Loyzaga plants one Lapnisan tree seedling during the tree-planting activity at the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center in celebration of the World Environment Day and Philippine Environment Month on June 5. Lapnisan, or most commonly known as Agarwood with the scientific name of Aquilaria malaccensis, is listed as endangered under the National List of Threatened Flora of the DENR-Biodiversity Management Bureau. Besides the Lapnisan, native tree seedlings including the endangered Mangkono and Tindalo; the vulnerable Narra, Apitong, Katmon, Dao and Bagawak-Morado; and common trees with important uses like Siar, Kalumpit and Botong were also planted.#
