The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 10 participates in the nationwide simultaneous tree-planting activity during the celebration of Arbor Day on June 25, 2022. Some 7,000 seedlings of indigenous tree species including dao (Dracontomelon dao) tree seedlings were planted to rehabilitate identified areas in the region. The activity is also part of the Environment Month, and pursuant to Proclamation 643, s. 2004 on declaring a day each year to conduct actual tree planting and foster partnership and environmental stewardship among various sectors in our society. ###
