Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) OIC Secretary Joselin Marcus E. Fragada on June 24 led the recognition of its employees for their continuing commitment and dedication to public service amid the challenging times.
“We have issued individual certificates to recognize that no matter how low your job is as a janitor, as a clerk, we always recognize the hard work that people do for the agency. Kaya maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat!” Fragada told DENR workers during the “HR@ Ur Service” closing ceremony.
Certificates of recognition were awarded to 86 employees from the DENR Central Office.
“I would also like to recognize our employees from the Strategic Communication and Initiatives Service, Human Resource Development Service (HRDS), and the Administrative Service. I think this is the only time that we can recognize you for the efforts and services that you do for the department, for the constituents, and for other people. Maraming salamat po sa tulong at pagsisilbi ninyo,” he said.
Fragada also thanked the DENR partner-agencies for participating in the weeklong HR@ Ur Service event.
DENR Assistant Secretary for Human Resources, Strategic Communication and Sectoral Initiatives Hiro V. Masuda said that this year’s event highlighted the Duterte administration’s whole-of-society framework of “leaving no one behind,” especially during the pandemic.
“All tasks, big or small, are vital to the accomplishment of a goal. Whether white collar or blue-collar jobs, their efforts should not be left on the sidelines. We want to make sure that they are given appropriate recognition as a gratitude for the sacrifices they made,” Masuda pointed out.
During its five-day run, the HR @ Ur Service benefited 5,884 client-participants: 576 clients for PhilSys; 730 for Pag-IBIG Fund; 80 for Professional Regulation Commission; 534 for Social Security System; 670 clients for the Philippine Statistics Authority; 46 for Land Transportation Office; and 297 for National Bureau of Investigation.
During the event, the DENR-National Capital Region distributed seedlings to 737 employees, while the DENR Forestry Savings and Loan Association Inc. served 26 clients.
