Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Antonia Loyzaga (middle) leads the signing of the Partnership Agreement for Project TRANSFORM with the representatives of stakeholders from the private and public sectors on June 23 in Siargao, Surigao del Norte. To be implemented in the municipalities of Del Carmen, Burgos, Malimono and San Francisco in Surigao del Norte, Project TRANSFORM– Transdisciplinary Approach for Resilience and Environmental Sustainability through Multistakeholder Engagement–is a joint undertaking of the DENR, local government, and various sectors of society in implementing programs to alleviate poverty, enhance community resilience, and promote public-private partnerships. The signing of the Partnership Agreement further solidifies their commitment to work together to achieve the targets of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, Paris Agreement, Sustainable Development Goals, and the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028.
