Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Antonia Loyzaga (seated, right) and Manila Observatory (MO) Executive Director Fr. Jose Ramon Villarin, S.J. (seated, left) signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the creation of a climate change information management system on May 12 in Makati City. The database will contain interactive and downloadable maps that will support the Department in developing its strategies for a science-based, risk-informed, ethical and equitable stewardship of the environment. MO is a non-profit research institution that studies Philippine weathers and earthquakes. Secretary Loyzaga served as its Executive Director from 2007-2016.
