Director Arlene Romasanta, Head of the Knowledge and Information Systems Services of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources was hailed under the “Legend Category” for outstanding leadership in information technology in the Philippines at the World CIO 200 Summit. Romasanta will represent the country in the annual recognition from the Global CIO Forum to be held in Baku, Azarbaijan in September 2023.
Romasanta was recognized for her organizational excellence as leader in the field of information and communications technology (ICT) for the past two decades by implementing ICT projects that help lessen carbon footprint and improve operational efficiency. Prior to joining the DENR, she was Chief of the Data Warehouse and Analytics Division, Management Information Systems Service of the Department of Information and Communications Technology, and was also head of the IT Management Unit of the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology.
Established in 2017, The World CIO 200 Summit gathers global IT decision-makers and solution providers in a unique platform, recognizing the role of technology in strategic decision-making and as architects of resilience, transcending challenges and barriers.
