Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Biodiversity Management Bureau (DENR-BMB) OIC Director Natividad Y. Bernardino calls on stakeholders to step up efforts to protect the marine environment from anthropogenic threats aggravated by the impacts of climate change during the observance of the United Nations’ World Oceans Day on June 8, 2022 at the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center in Quezon City. Bernardino emphasized the importance of “collective commitment” towards ocean protection to avert the rising environmental crises. The DENR-BMB celebrated the World Oceans Day with the theme “Revitalization: Collective Action for the Ocean.” ###
