The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Youth Desk recently conducted a Youth Resilience Workshop participated in by over 70 newly elected Sangguniang Kabataan Chairmen and Kagawad, representatives of Indigenous Peoples Youth, and leaders of various youth-led organizations in Rizal Province. The activity supports and strengthens the youth sector’s continuing capacity building in disaster risk reduction and resilience, and aims to raise awareness, instill knowledge, and ignite positive attitudes on the urgent call for resilience and climate action. Apart from the DENR, the National Youth Commission and the non-government group U-INSPIRE Philippines held lectures on climate change and resilience-building to empower youth participants to lead programs and projects that respond to the impacts of climate change. ###
