The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), through the Biodiversity Management Bureau (BMB) headed by Assistant Secretary for Climate Change Ricardo L. Calderon (right), recognizes the invaluable contribution of Atty. Czar Eric M. Nuqui (2nd from right), head of the National Bureau of Investigation–Environmental Crime Division (NBI-ECD), in the government’s efforts to enforce environmental laws. The DENR conferred Nuqui with a gold medal award alongside 19 personnel of the NBI-ECD who were given 11 gold, three silver and five bronze medals. Joining Calderon in the awarding ceremony are DENR Undersecretary for Legal, Administration, Finance, Human Resources and Information Systems Ernesto D. Adobo, Jr. and BMB Assistant Director Armida P. Andres (1st and 2nd from left, respectively). The event was held on March 3 at the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center in Quezon City in celebration of the World Wildlife Day.###
