Environment Secretary Roy A. Cimatu (middle) acknowledges the handbook for the Operationalization of the Cagayan Anti-Illegal Logging Task Force presented by Cagayan Provincial Gov. Manuel N. Mamba (left) during Cimatu’s recent visit to Tuguegarao City to assess the flooding in the region.  Mamba gave the full support of the provincial government in the enforcement of environmental laws in Cagayan particularly those for forest protection and anti-illegal logging activities. Cimatu said the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) will be coordinating with other government agencies for reforestation efforts in the mountains of Cagayan to prevent a similar flooding incident in the province.
