As a way of thanking them for their efforts, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Roy A. Cimatu (5th from left) poses for a photo opportunity with Noveleta Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (ENRO) head Edgardo S. Chavez (4th from left) and the river rangers of Noveleta after the simultaneous cleanup activities in Cavite province, which included Long Beach in Noveleta, Cavite, on July 16. River rangers are the hardworking and dependable partners of the DENR in cleaning rivers and waterways and in guarding these against illegal garbage disposal. The cleanup is in support of the solid waste management efforts of Cavite province for the rehabilitation of Manila Bay. DENR Undersecretaries Atty. Jonas R. Leones and Benny D. Antiporda, Cavite City Mayor Bernardo Paredes, Noveleta Mayor Dino Reyes Chua, Provincial ENRO Cavite, Lions Clubs District 301-A2, Philippine Coast Guard, and the Philippine National Police Maritime Group, were also present during the cleanup at Barangay 30, Cavite City and Long Beach. ###
