Around 300 barangays in the country expressed their support for DENR’s Project TRANSFORM during the conclusion of the Barangayan para sa Kalikasan at Bayang Matatag forum on October 12 in Pasay City. TRANSFORM or Transdisciplinary Approach for Resilience and Environmental Sustainability through Multistakeholder Engagement aims to combat poverty, enhance community resilience, and foster public-private partnerships throughout the country’s provinces, municipalities, and cities. Barangay leaders who participated in the event hailed from Limay, Orion, and Mariveles in Bataan; Tanay, Antipolo, San Mateo, Rodriguez, and Baras in Rizal; Del Carmen and Burgos in Surigao del Norte; Ormoc City in Leyte; and the cities of Pasay, Parañaque, Quezon, and Manila in Metro Manila. The event was in collaboration with the Department of National Defense-Office of Civil Defense, the Department of the Interior and Local Government, and the National Resilience Council.#
