Environment Undersecretary for Solid Waste Management and Local Government Units Concerns Benny D. Antiporda (extreme right) checks on two serval cats (Leptailurus serval) in right and middle cages and a blue-and-gold macaw (Ara ararauna) in left cage brought to the Biodiversity Management Bureau (BMB) in Quezon City after these were seized together with one head of Ducorps cockatoo (Cacatua ducorpsii) on May 5 following a complaint by homeowners in a village in Antipolo, Rizal. The serval cat is a threatened exotic species under the endangered category of the CITES Appendix II listing.
