Officials of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (inset) unveil the marker of the 31.7-hectare Category IV Engineered Sanitary Landfill (SLF) located between Brgy. Malimono, Marawi City and Brgy. Kasanayan, Municipality of Kapai in the province of Lanao del Sur to formally turn over the SLF to the local government of Lanao del Sur on June 28, 2022. The facility is the DENR’s contribution to the Comprehensive Marawi Recovery, Reconstruction, and Rehabilitation Program.
