Environment Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo Loyzaga (right) holds a meeting with Leyte Fourth District Rep. Richard Gomez and Ormoc City Mayor Lucy Torres-Gomez (2nd and 3rd from right, respectively) to discuss avenues for collaboration to address environmental issues in the City of Ormoc. The congressman and mayor are staunch environmental advocates. Rep. Gomez supports resilient infrastructure and Mayor Gomez filed in 2018, during her term as congresswoman of the 4th district of Leyte, House Bill No. 7229 or the proposed “Philippine Sustainable Tourism Act” to ensure sustainable tourism. The meeting was held at the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority on August 18, 2022.###
