Professor Arlen Ancheta of the University of Sto. Tomas Faculty of Arts and Letters presents her research paper “Urban Forest as Breathing Spaces in Congested Manila: Arroceros Park, Manila, Philippines as Context” during the Ecosystems Research Development Bureau (ERDB) R&D Conference for Urban Parks and Green Cities: A Sustainable Future in Southeast Asia held on October 12, 2022 in Manila. The study showed that Arroceros Forest Park remains within the frame of livable cities and communities, providing universal access to safe, inclusive and accessible, green and public spaces even beyond 2030 despite the issue of the park’s redevelopment. Conference participants toured the Arroceros Forest Park to see an example of an urban park in the Philippines. ###
